Born and raised in Greece, Lilian soon discovered her love of living abroad after gaining a scholarship to go to Berlin for a few months. Since then, she has lived in Canada, Turkey and the UK. In a former life Lilian was an archaeologist working in excavations and teaching archaeology at universities in Canada and Turkey while completing her PhD. Her first book based on her doctoral research is coming out in a few weeks. Lilian is also an accomplished publishing and assessment professional having worked as a translator, copy-editor, editorial consultant and assessment manager for 15 years, the last 7 of those at Cambridge University Press & Assessment. She recently made yet another career change to take up her current role as Head of Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging for International Education which combines her knowledge of education with her studies in anthropology. Living with a hidden disability has made her very passionate about accessibility, inclusion and the lived experience of other people. She speaks 4 languages, and she is the mother of a very energetic 3-year-old boy who keeps her on her toes!
